I arrived a day early in Amsterdam to explore (and fight off jet lag).
We booked a canal cruise that promised wine and tapas.

The first night of the expo was my birthday, and Tauck absolutely set the tone.
We were transported by canal boat to the Sofitel Legend The Grand Amsterdam for dinner—complete with live entertainment and a full room singing happy birthday.
And when I returned to the ship, my cabin had been decorated to celebrate. (My friends coordinated it—but it’s exactly the kind of thoughtful touch these cruise lines can and do create for their guests.)
It was seamless, personal, and genuinely special, and exactly what the right travel experience should feel like.
